One day I was looking through my browser history and realized that it gives a pretty good picture of what I’m interested in. Looking at it, I can chart out what topics I was thinking about on a given day, or even when I was reading a particular author. So I selected a few dozen of the sites I had visited in the past week, then wrote entries explaining each of them — why I was on the site and what I thought about it. I enjoyed the exercise so much that I thought: why not annotate every website I visit? For that matter, why not annotate every website?
And so, the Annotated Internet was born. On this site, I’ll annotate the parts of the internet I visit during the week, from articles I read to videos I watched to music I listened to.
